The article says the panel is searching for its mission. What was the purpose stated when the panel is crested- was it to assess the status of the school district, or find ways for the city to help the school district or what?
The fact that the panel is closed to observers seems at odds with a mayoral administration that promises to be transparent.
At one point there were definitely two teachers on the task force. One was a male teacher from Perry. I checked the PG articles and can't find the list that contains the 2 teachers. I will try the trib. This is where we would benefit from a source of info.
the official news release does not list any teacher. what a shame and what a sham!
I know the high school members had to apply for a seat at the table but I would have felt better if there had been a student from Perry or Milliones selected. I wonder if nobody from either school applied.

I wonder why no teachers are part of this panel.
ReplyDeleteComments on the original post on this topic indicated that there are a couple teachers on the panel.
