I know that there are lots of people sick of hearing about it, but once they were able to close not only the building but the whole idea of it against organized support...the rest of the district was doomed. <br /><br />It's a shame more people didn't listen at that time -- many of the people who spoke up at the time were talking about the same things we are now -- the total lack of planning ahead, the piles of money spent on consultants, saying things had research backing when they didn't, the money spent on buildings that would then be closed soon after. <br /><br />But if they could beat that opposition?
