A newspaper article indicated that per the district total savings from the proposed cuts to sports would be $2 million per year. So if 5 sports were cut that would be $400K per sport per year. But does middle school swimming really cost $400k a year, and HS swimming another $400k a year?
No. The numbers for sports, when I saw it, were mixed with delayed purchases of technology and another time it was blended with buying fewer text books.

Thanks for the pointer.
Solid article from the student paper.
They broke down the numbers for these sports, but what about the big ticket sports? Are they going to be untouchable? What are the costs?
Where did you see the number break down? I only saw the sports mixed in with tech purchases or text books.
