I'm curious how restorative practices are making our students safe. A fight breaks out, teacher intervenes and ends up getting hurt...she goes to concentrate and has to continue going for therapy on her time...girls are back in her class next day....another student comes in from recess and world wrestling style slams another student to ground ripping his shirt...nothing happens. Just wondering how the restorative practices are working out.....
What do you expect when the PPS student code of conduct lists academic dishonesty and arson as level II infractions. Cheat on a test or set the auditorium on fire--take your pick.

Any objections to suspension in this case?
How does restorative justice work in the context of crimes?
