PG article on the same meeting:

Per the article, only 6% of attendees believe the district's top priority should be continuing work already started. That would seem to put the Board at odds with respondents, since the Board seems to believe that continuing initiatives already begun is the most important piority. And, the Board is cementing in initiatives already started by continuing to vote on major initiatives, reconfigurations, moves and most of all expenditures before a new superintendent is chosen.

Status quo: Not willing to listen. 94% ignored.

Bring in Lane, Roosevelt II.

Anyone from within the current administration will bring a more of the same type of personality to the job. Then again, this board does not have the courage to return Gates his money and attached Broad influence in order to regain control of education for our kids. The gutless school board did not comprehend that accepting the millions that it did what outrageously poor and out of touch leadership.
With all of the money on the table, this board will hire someone exactly in keeping with the Roosevelt model, or worse...which would be the scenario if one of his assistants is hired.

Best of luck to the kids. PPS is a corporation now working for Eli Broad and Bill Gates.

We are the *darlings* for fundraising, and manipulated data has portrayed Mark Roosevelt as some kind of education god!

PPS/Mark Roosevelt were in the right place at the right time for PR. Time is running out and guess who is the first to leave?

If he really cared, he would hang in there. He is leaving mid term to attempt to start up a college he has NO ties with. Same here, he has no ties and can move on with more cash.

It would save money if we just handed Linda Lane 275k to leave instead of the board lather, rinse, repeating the same BS Kool-Aid the board, admin, and press has been drinking.

Cut our losses, and try again. Buh bye

The problem with handing Linda the money is that after Lopez, you get even more tyrannical, closed-minded leadership than what we have been treated to for the past five years.

Somewhere, John Thompson is having a good laugh.

I will refrain from saying what I really think and know about Lopez, other that he is not qualified and I will be horrified and probably move if he is the next superintendent.

That's all I got to say about that.
