- It is good to see attention directed to helping Homewood. But does it make sense at this time, when recovery efforts are just beginning, to assign students from other neighborhoods to attend school there?

- While it is true that violence can occur anywhere, this link makes it clear that Homewood has been especially hard hit. Rev. Burgess explains that there are almost no businesses operating in Homewood, due to gun violence. That is not true everywhere. A drastic reduction in gun violence need to be the top priority.
This area is a political football now with a hot election. That could be a good thing.
There is an opportunity to keep the pressure on past the May primary if a resident who is an Indie ran for theNov election too.
