This is the blog section of the PURE Reform website. Please leave your thoughts and comments here.
PURE Reform has created this blog as a forum for parents, teachers and community members to share information and voice concerns regrading the reform process in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. Although we would like to foster constructive dialogue, PURE Reform does not edit content. The views expressed by bloggers in this forum are not necessarily views held by PURE Reform.

Tonight at the PPS Agenda Review, the Solicitor, Ira Weiss announced that the Superintendent's contract renewal/extension (until 2016) will be voted upon at next Wednesday's Legislative Meeting.
Also noted was the designation of Christiana Otuwa as the "official" PPS representative to the "Gates" programs as her "travel" fees were listed for approval.
So we had a school that students "loved with all their heart." How often does that happen? And a decision to terminate it forever made by people who say they are tired, or are most concerned with going fishing. Something is very wrong.
