How did the box cutter get in the school in the first place 2 nd where was the security guard and why wasn't this boy checked at the medal detector some body dropped the ball on this one ?

Interesting how we have forgotten the magical 'restorative' power of our touch-firm or otherwise.
This season's educational silver bullet is spelled out with the two words, "restorative justice."

Assuming all elementary schools have metal detectors in place?
