From the Trib:

I was confused after reading the PG article since I was certain that Roosevelt did not come until 2000 and Lane much longer after that. The Trib article cleared up my confusion. Can anyone assure the public that the practices in pps would prevent this kind of debacle now? I know about mandatory reporting but has anyone seen in in action? Just some assurance that what is in place is working would be helpful.

On earlier threads about lellock commenters wrote that MR was close to lellock, and that LL insisted on having him be the one to handle certain jobs, so that would be another difference from prior administrations.

This mirrors the Penn State...Sandusky...Paterno...cover up pattern.

Why aren't people fierce advocates for and protectors of these children who are being physically and emotionally damaged?

Are fame and reputation worth more than the psychological destruction of our children, many of whom become maladjusted adults????

What concerns me most is that there is a possibility Lelock was made a driver to keep him away from children.

Roosevelt came in 2006- and all hell broke lookse. And it makes total sense that Bob Fadzen would recommend that Lellock would be security for Rooselvelt-- THINK-- it is job where he is not around children-- DUH! The whole think about the principal in the dumpster added a whole new perspective on all that knew and when!

The worst thing the district ever did was get rid of fadzen, when he was chief the department was professional. He was professional, a people person and college educated. What is wrong with this district? They did not like him because he would not be a puppet butt kisser like others are!

5:57 PM So many of us employees ABSOLUTELY agree. When Fadzen was forced to retire, safety in our schools took a nose dive!
