After checking the recommendations made by A+ and included on the report on the A+ website I found a problem. The recommendations include moving the public hearing date to follow the agenda review meeting. That is already the sequence of meetings and if memory serves it was changed some time ago when Ms. Hazuda took the presidency. For instance the agenda review for june is 6/15 and the public hearing is 6/20. That is hunky-dorey. Same with May dates. How could this have been a recommendation? Can someone please double check me?
Yes, you are correct, the Public Hearing will be the Monday following the Agenda Review and before the Legislative Meeting which is two days later.
Watch for the new plan for "District Realignment 2011-2012" which was presented at the Education Meeting on June 7, 2011. There will be Public Hearings held in August.
I can't understand what A+ wants. The recommendation they made to move the public hearing until after the agenda review WAS ALREADY THE PROCESS and has been since at least Jan. Jan agenda review was 1-16-11. The public hearing was 1-21-11. Does making the recommendation EVEN AFTER THE FACT give A+ the right to take credit or what? Mrs. Hazuda took care of this a long time ago.

Might you assume that with so few comments on the board report card topic that nobody really cares?
Are any of the decisions made over the past few years different than what they would have been if A+ Schools did not exist?
It would be good to hear from A+ with the answer to that question. I can't think of an instance where they might have influenced a decision.

I think parents and citizens are tired of beating their heads against the Bellefield walls of shame.
Nothing changes, it just gets worse and is is tough to have hope. The kids are not a priority to Bellefield, it is frustrating and sad.
