Well if that's the case maybe task force can address the issues in regards to U-PREP just to see if anybody from the committee bring U-PREP up for discussion to make it safe being since that's one of major concerns SAFETY for all schools or they kick the can down the road in reference to U-PREP we will see who is willing to step up to plate !!! If is just window dressing and all talk
Safety is a very important issue and concern for all.
If and when children are being EDUCATED to levels of competence and "proficiency" schools are good places, even great places, for kids to be. When they are surrounded by chaos, failure, disruption, fear, incompetence and being accused by adults as the reason for all of this "mess", they act out. Kids rebel against the people and the institutions that require them to be in such a confusing and hostile place.
If the adults in the environment would get it right, the kids would respond in kind!
Nowhere in this article is EDUCATION addressed!
Another "blame" game with lots of "excuses" for SCHOOLS not being about EDUCATION. If the can't, won't or don't know how to productively engage kids, we do NOT need them!
It would be hard to disagree with 5:38 if education, competence and proficiency were taken care of in PPS.
Yet can you have safety and honest marketing if the school district is one of the lowest achieving in the state. There are more than 450 out of 500 PA districts that are academically superior to PPS.
Is it reasonable to think that if the schools were doing a good job, there would be 1) less PR needed, 2) fewer failing, frustrated children, and 3) more safety in schools?

Public safety and marketing the district are common sense collaborative endeavors.
Education, competence and proficiency are best left in the hands of Educators.

If any one of our children can be served in any way by this collaboration it would be hard to argue against it
PPS needs all the help it can get.
