The article notes that the student/teacher ratio at Clayton is about 7:1- exactly the same ratio that was said at this week's agenda review to be too low/costly to maintain a program at Oliver for future law enforcement officers.

Article notes: boys and girls are kept separate to eliminate distractions.

Sounds like an endorsement for an OPTION of single-gender schools, if not classrooms.

I am not sure Clayton's "success?" is an endorsement for single gender schools.

I would like to judge Clayton's success based only on one factor, how a student performs on all social, academic and behavior levels when they are back in their home/sending building. They allegedly go back with supports (from Clayton or from their home school?). How about a report telling us how many days it took before a returning student received their first detention or suspension?

In addition to how students do when they return- we should also focus on the percentage that actually do return as opposed to dropping out or transferring to another district.
