At the end of November the parent hotline indicated the report was in the stages of being finalized.
At the beginning of January the parent hotline said it was in the final stages. This time the hotline also said the report was over 100 pages long and was expected in a few weeks.
I asked if the contract or agreement for this study gave any kind of deadline or targeted date for the report. That was a week ago and I did not receive a response.
Because the report is not ready, it cannot be used to inform planning being conducted right now for schools in the East End and elsewhere.
Rumor has it that it wasn't very favorable so it hasn't been released yet. Perhaps Pure Reform can request a copy from the woman who was paid $10,000 of our tax dollars to conduct the "self-audit." It should be a matter of public record...correct?
What the district does is say they do not have it, so they cannot produce it.
The same thing happened with the report of a second consultant on asbestos school buildings done in May. In response to right to know requests they insist that they have not received anything.
The auditor must really care about girls sports then, because it for most consultants it is in their interest to say what the person hiring them wants said.
Could $10,000 have been a bargain? It seems to me that 100 pages is a lot of report, unless it consists of repeating the comments in the surveys and not just any analysis. If every parent posting comments gave all their school friends the pure website address and a thread for anonymous comments on girls' sports it would prove interesting.

It has been over a year since the report was commissioned in December 2008.
This article from the PG says the consultant's contract was to run through August 30, 2009.

Well there are probably ways to make sure you don't have a document if you don't want to have it.
For example, the contents can be read to you and sent back for revision. No document to produce.

I've been asking for this report on a monthly basis.
I told Mike Lamb to look into the report too, as it is NOT here yet. He is the auditor for the city and the schools. He has done nothing yet.
I asked Mark Conner about the report at the last Male Engagement Meeting. He does PPS work for parent engagement for the district.
We should start making a stink about this not being done.
