Senate Education Committee bill regarding Superintendents' term lengths, buyouts, students' achievement, right-to-know info.

This article mentions that John Thompson's buyout was $150,165 and Lynn Spampinato's was $213,000 (to step down and do "consulting work."
Roosevelt's wasn't a buyout, but he sure did make out like a bandit."

Wondering if anyone can step forward to say they saw any of the consulting work Dr. Spampinato did for the district?

This legislation is long overdue!!

Thanks Jack Wagner.

I'll bet that if we could add up ALL of PPS' "buyouts," the figure would be in the millions. (including PPS' lawyers' fees) And under "buyouts," I am including the ones for just going away "quietly."

PG article is just PR for the career politicians, Jack and Chelsey Wagner.

Hot topic, so let's jump on the bandwagon. Let's join A+ schools.

Why haven't they advised S. Hazuda, who is heavily entrenched in the Wagners' camp?

Hazuda is too involved in a love fest with Dr. Lane to be able to evaluated her properly. I don't think Sherry would even know what to look for or what type of questions to ask.

12:27 - Sherry Hazuda needs to be liked by those in authority, plain and simple.

It is her history. It fills the need to feel important, to feel secure, to feel fulfilled. There is no chance that she will use her intelligence to ask the hard questions to challenge the status quo.

Right now, Regina Holley is making a difference. You can see it, hear it, feel it at the Board Meetings. Mark Brentley is no longer standing alone. Each of these two people have strengths that are being realized in terms of exercising influence on the thinking and perceptions of the Board.

Community groups need to pay attention and let Board and Administration know, loud and clear, that Mark and Regina have voluminous support.

Mark Bentley is the only one who makes any sents at those board meetings and none of the other board members back him even when he is rite.I think when things go wrong they are quick to point the finger.but when things go good they give him no credit . People should listin to this man .If he was board president ( probley never ) things would be a lot different and board members would resign S.H ,T.C G.F and Skipp .Maybe he should run if that's the only way to get rid of the racism
