Title IX Audit

The Title IX audit results should have surely been announced by now. Remember the Board made a big deal out of this "self-audit" they paid Peggy Pennepacker $10,000 for. I don't know of one person who ever saw the woman. The Board shouldn't need this much time to take her "results" and put their own PR spin on it.

Heather, where are you?

I have wondered about this lack of audit reporting for a while.

Furthermore, I had the worst fear that the audit was used as a decoy. It was cover to do nothing -- or do same old same old for another year.

One way to avoid change is to call for an audit of what you got. That buys time.

I have a feeling that the audit is going to bring bad news for the females -- but -- it will be woven within what is there for the males too -- and that ins't with many areas to boast about.

With any hope and luck, the audit will compare sports participation in the city not among boys and girls but in contrast to what happens elsewhere in the county and the nation.

So, there is a long-shot, or "Hail Mary Pass" (pun intended) of hope that the audit scores a big win for the kids.
