Way to go Mark! And Linda lane objected to it as not a good thing? Wow she is really out of touch. We need as many fathers as we can to be involved.

Otuwa was against this program too. She is another one out of touch. We need to bring back some of our old school teachers and adminstrators out of retirement to help. How can we do this?

BRAVO! Kudos to Mark Brentley. The community is proud of a true advocate for Pittsburgh's Public School children!

"The Pittsburgh Public School District is gaining national recognition thanks to School Board Representative Mark Brentley. The district 8 representative’s Take a Father to School Day initiative was named a grand prize winner in the American School Board Journal’s Magna Awards.

The Magna Awards recognize excellence in school district leadership. The Take a Father to School Day initiative was chosen for its innovative attempt at increasing parent involvement in the PPS. . . . . ."

Bravo.

James Carmine was there too, back in the infancy.

Oh the stories we could tell that swirl about with that day and how it could be, and has been, leverage to help kids.
