The weeks when the Board meeting are not broadcast are often the meetings people may be most interested in seeing. For example, Wednesday's meeting came right after a heavily attended public hearing, and included the vote for a raise for the superintendent.

when they say no broadcasting meaning there be nothing to talk about other than that you can go and GOOGLE Broad/Gates stream live to hear meeting just JOKING!!!! remember the dist is in a budget crissis meaning broadcasting cost money another thing we can do is have board meetings for a twenty minute time frame save on gas and electric why waste utilities if we can't see and hear the meeting
There were three cameras in action (red lights on, cameras were operating) at the Legislative Meeting on Wednesday night.
Were those gentlemen who were filming being paid? By whom? And Why, if there is no broadcast? Interesting?
As a matter of fact there were comments addressed to the "viewing public" from Board members.
Other interesting topics were the Westinghouse discussion and vote, the Northside H. S. situation, and Public Hearing responses with L. Fischetti's questionable responses to questions.
Are you sure there will be no broadcast on Saturday and Sunday at 3:00 PM?
I posted this last week.

Second response. Not even on PPS tube
No monthly school enrollment updates; no PSSA info until published by the State; missing broadcasts. What is going on?
Did Lane get a raise?
Technology Director focused on the Xerox contract that is 3x as expensive as the bid pricing they had before.
4:47: Yes. The vote was 8 to 1.
It is shameful she would accept a raise.
The Superintendent attempted not to accept it. This will have to be worked out with the solicitor as it was voted into action by the Board.
Smoke and mirrors --twist my arm to take it. The Board needs their heads examined.
It coud be refused.
Nope, no broadcast on Saturday either. Different programming than what was on Friday, but no PPS.
There has got to be an explanation for this. It could be that the meetings have become so dull and predictable that the ratings don't support continued broadcasting. LOL.
Again, three camera men and cameras filmed the entire meeting. So there is film/tape available somewhere.
I could be wrong, but I believe that others at Bellefield also got bonuses during this last board meeting. Upwards of 15K. INSANE!
Are the meetings supposed to be broadcast or is it a choice? Is there anyone we can call that cares? ( press?)
When I asked the parent hotline last year the response was that it was up to the TV station, which could preempt PPS programming at any time. No explanation why the station would preempt a recent meeting to show for example a city awards program from 6 months earlier. This past week I emailed to the city channel but received no response.
I called the parental hotline today and they had no idea, i was shuffled to 3 other departments which ended me up at mr. campbells voice mail. I didn't bother leaving a message.
The mantle of secrecy is insane in this city--believe it or not, library boards are open meetings in the suburbs, and in Bethel Park- a district that has had its share of strikes and animosity- school board meetings are delivered on facebook-- and not just to BP residents-- anyone who happens to "friend" them gets the board meeting on Youtube.

Sadly I heard this too. I am hoping it is incorrect! They just got raises in March.
