Conflict at U Prep

From a reliable source there was a large fight at U Prep last week involving girls from the Hill v. girls from E Liberty. Is enough being done to adress neighborhood conflicts?

Two fights at the flagship school Allderdice today. A week or two ago a teacher went to the hospital after a fight at the dice. This distict dose not care about disipline, just cover it up.

Where are the Dice parents that wish to talk up the idea that there is no apathy at the school, as we saw last week?
I have to laugh at the school within the school idea, sorry as I am to say. While I respect the legacy of the school, please spare me the idea that this is the complete high school experience. The CAS program would be a complete island within the school, if only they could find the money to wall off the classrooms. They then could call the section of the school "Taylor" High, so at least the Taylor Allderice moniker would make a bit more sense.

Absolutely right. There are fights every day at my child's ('best in the district') middle school and the public never hears about it. My child has been harassed almost daily and I've been told that the children doing the harassing just don't know that they are being mean. And so nothing is being done to stop it. Zero consequences. Well, those children are still there harassing children, and my straight-A child is now....GONE from PPS. Enough is enough is enough. There is no way that our schools will ever improve if they cannot do something about the disruptive and violent students. Period. It is just a matter of time before our schools will just be mini prisons for the children in our community who are disruptive. Everyone who actually wants to learn will be in our private, parochial and charter schools. Time to wake up Bellefield and support our schools and the children who want to learn! Unfortunately it is too late for our family. We are DONE.

Whatever happened to the Center for Urban Education that was located at U Prep? Maintaining orderly schools would have been a good issue for the Center to look at.
