This is the blog section of the PURE Reform website. Please leave your thoughts and comments here.
PURE Reform has created this blog as a forum for parents, teachers and community members to share information and voice concerns regrading the reform process in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. Although we would like to foster constructive dialogue, PURE Reform does not edit content. The views expressed by bloggers in this forum are not necessarily views held by PURE Reform.
To comment on an existing topic, go to the line at the bottom of the post for that topic that begins "Posted by..." To suggest a new topic, go to this month's post labeled "Start a New Post" and add your comment (as described above) about the new suggested topic. PURE Reform will use these comments to start new posts.
hey that is part of his job as a board member to challenge the administration on certain issues meaning to question why are you doing this and did you do any research or fact finding there is always an explanation all he wants to know why and what purpose it serves do it benefits PPS some communities or all communities lets take another step is it fair to some communities or all communities especially when it comes to the afro amer communities in which always come up short lets keep real or we just keep kicking the can down the road enclosing other members of board need to take responsibility in challenging PPS administration it is already like a run away TRAIN!!!!! i thought i put that out there
I think it's time that I cancel my subscription to the yellow journalism of the PG. Truly, the way that the editorial board has conducted i.tself during the past 6 years has been SICKENING. This newspaper has become a PR blog for PPS central administration
The phrase "investigative reporter" seems to be an historic job in Pittsburgh. In reading back through this blog-- if even a 10th of the information MAY be true-- it is worth investigating-- a 1943 graduate being escorted out of a building/ lawn furniture/ booing teachers-- the sad stories are throughout.
