The article says Fazden was placed on unpaid leave in November for "exceeding his jurisdiction" in an incident that happend in July. July to November- 4 months- could it have been speaking with the press in Oct/Nov about neighborhood violence spilling over into schools that was the problem?
So why have the hearing? The "Board's" (powers that be...} decision has been made.
Attorney Carl Beard of Altoona will preside over the hearing.
"He will recommend whether to terminate a school employee or not, but ultimately the school board of directors decides whether to terminate a school employee or not," Weiss said.
It doesn't say October/November. It says July! What happened in July that was "exceeding his jurisdction"?
Was he speaking in Oct/Nov to the press about "neighborhood violence" that happened in July? Where did it happen? Did "neighborhood violence spill over into schools" at Summer Dreamers??? Where???
The incident with stopping an ambulance was in july. Nothing was heard about firing until shortly after a gun was found near phillips in the fall and he commented about violence spilling into schools.
Are you serious? All this talk about Fadzen! What about the two Commanders in charge now? Now that Fadzen is gone it is a real hot mess! What does Commander Brown and Novicky do anyways? Nothing but give orders! They have their favorites and if they do not like you they throw you to the wolves!!!!! WHAT DO THEY DO? NOTHING AND MAKE A NICE SALARY! THE BOARD ONLY NEEDS THE SECURITY OFFICERS! THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT WORK AND ARE PAID NOTHING COMPARED TO THE POLICE. THE NEXT TIME THAT YOU ARE AT A FUNCTION SEE WHO WORKS! ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE! YOU CAN TALK ABOUT FADZEN BUT AT LEAST HE TALKED TO YOU LIKE A HUMAN BEING!

Nice to see that the two principals from Westinghouse have been on PAID leave since October.
Great use of taxpayer dollars Dr. Lane.
How exactly are they supposed to improve their professional practice sitting at home?
If you now deem them unsatisfactory, what supports have been in place and accessible to them since October?
Why do those two, under 40, get paid suspension, while the Chief, over 60, is on paid leave?
If you are demoting them, why didn't that happen in October? They could be assistant principals in the interim?
Fully loaded with benefits, that's about $80,000 of value told to stay home?
This is wholly unacceptable on so many levels.
Is anyone going to the hearing to give us an update on what transpired?
Do we even know that a hearing occured?
Fazdens hearing is 1/25 and 1/26 in Conference Room A at the Board and it starts at 9am.
It's open to the public but you cannot speak. If the local news media doesn't cover this, I'd be shocked.
