Ha. I thought that her comments in the Obama Eagle were more insightful

Until she cleans up those schools over in the eastend and Homewood, her reflections are just that reflections. They need actions not dreams only.

She does not know what to do. She tells everyone when she says "we had to do something" with something being the operative word. She and her girls have disabused us of the notion that "something is better than nothing." In this instance that certainly has not proven to be true.

It is critical that you KNOW WHAT you are doing and WHY. "SOMETHING"????????

All she has to do is acknowledge that she is way over her head and get the right people in place and pps can be turn around. But she prefers people around her that do not know what they are doing either.

People who hire employees that are incompetent tend to do so, so they won't blow their "cover". Or by comparison they look as good or better than the people they surround themselves with.

Drain swirlage alert.

If she truly reflected on the year, she would resign

Linda Lane, I hard to find it hard to address her as "Dr." should leave this District so that we have a slight chance of recovering from all of the damage we have incurred under her rule. It is a disgrace to the taxpayers and parents what she has let happen to our Schools. And she stands by as Mark Campbell, still in charge, lets the technology needs of our schools continually fail. He cut 18 positions to "save money", and yet the budget is higher than last year. Has any one questioned this? Where are our elected Board member who approved all of these dismissals? And Linda Lane continues to put her stamp of approval on all he does...as our technogy in our schools falls apart. And he is now approving outside consultants at double the salaries of released employees to fill the needs, instead of hiring displaced workers. Nice work Linda Lane...thank you from the entire city of Pittsburgh.

Wow, it seems like it's been a whole year since the Fadzen suspension/hearing drama began.

Great job Dr. Lane. Keep my tax dollars flowing to Ira's buddies.

And still no online Board minutes for Feb. Why? Was the person who put them online terminated or what?

If one is willing to be "flexible" with data and make Lane & her "girls" look good, the CIO will have job security, it has nothing to do with budget or skill. Same applied with Roosevelt. Bad data (the truth) gets swept under the rug, or tweaked to make it more favorable.

PPS central office care about their personal careers. I am uncertain if the students, city or the district even fall in the top 5 priorities.
